Project 0.1

A list of things that I would like to make utilizing graphic design:

  1.  Advertisements for a children's channel
  2. Motion graphics video
  3. Informational poster
  4. Illustrations for a cookbook
  5. A movie poster

Gathered Images

"Permutations" (1968)
This is a motion graphics video by John Whitney which is around 7 minutes and 25 seconds long. This is one of the graphics in the video but it's very hypnotizing.

"True Advertisement" (1968)
This is a very colorful advertisement for Lorillard Tobacco Company's True menthol cigarettes. I was really attracted to the bold pattern in the background and on the model's dresses. I would have never guessed this was for a cigarette advertisement but instead maybe a fashion catalouge.

"Freeform Summer Poets" (2001)

This graphic is from an ad on the children's channel "Noggin". It feels very nostalgic and I think the type used looks very interesting. There is more to this ad but its purpose was to establish this channel as a place where children could go to learn through their different shows.

These two prints are from a series called "Atlante Secondo Lenin" which was completed in 1976 and made by Francesco Leonetti. I really enjoy the limited color palette and it feels like a map. The movement in this piece is also very nice.
